Foodie Fridays • Papillote • Savannah, GA

Today marks the first of many Foodie Fridays to come. I will be featuring a restaurant fave of mine every Friday because let's be real, I'm as passionate about food as I am about photography. I couldn't think of a better first restaurant to feature than Papillote  in Savannah, GA. There is nothing like french food actually made by someone from France. The husband and wife who own Papillote are truly the nicest people and actually take the time to learn your name.

I feel the restaurant is best explained as stated on their website "The concept of Papillote is to make fresh, delicious food available to everyone and to be eaten anywhere. The shop is simple, as is the food – but everything is made from scratch on the premises. Our menu is posted and varies depending on what is in season, what people are asking for, and what Chef is in the mood to prepare. But don’t let the menu make your final decision. There are always additional items in the shop, whether sweet or savory. Don’t expect fancy plates or silverware – just paper and plastic here. Whether you eat in or take out, we’ll serve you with a smile and most likely a sample or two."

If their description hasn't already sold you, then check out their DELICIOUS menu! They also have a catering service which would be perfect for a wedding reception. A friend of mine even served their melt-in-your-mouth macarons at her wedding reception dessert bar.
A few of my favorite things to order include their Lavendar & Apricot Macarons, the Croque Monsieur, Crab and Mango Tartine, and anything made with duck or on their daily Specials list.

Here are a few iPhone photos I took on my many excursions there!

Seattle to Bainbridge Island

If you are visiting/getting married in Seattle, WA or you live here and are just looking for something you probably wouldn't do every day, a fun day trip is to ride the ferry from downtown Seattle to Bainbridge Island. You can see beautiful views of downtown from the ferry and Bainbridge Island is a relaxing relief from the hustle and bustle of the city.

There was a bird flying with us and a plane flying above the bird.
We enjoyed a very large and delicious cup of coffee at the Pegasus Coffee House before heading back.
View of the harbor in the daytime as we were leaving for Bainbridge.
Then the same view returning in the evening!
The more industrial part of downtown.
Be sure to bring a jacket, as it was quite chilly being out on the water.

Charlie and Alex- Couples Portraits

Had a lot of fun playing around at the Gas Works Park in Seattle, WA with Charlie and Alex. Although it was very cold out (they were real troopers) we did get to enjoy some beautiful blue sky and sun! Gas Works Park was a neat place to shoot, can't wait to go back there.
