A friend of mine had her Flora & Fauna themed birthday party at (my favorite coffee shop and brunch spot) Arabica Lounge. Here is a shot I took with my iPhone at the "photo booth" set up. Sasha looks gorgeous! Isn't that yummy window lighting just radiant?

Family Portrait Session • The LaCortes • Davidson, NC
I have known Sandy since preschool and we both grew up in the town of Davidson, NC. She introduced me to my very first wedding clients, and I honestly don't think I would be where I am today without her. Thank you Sandy! She has been wanting me to photograph her family for years, and finally we were all in the same place at the same time and made it happen! The LaCortes are such a kind and genuine family and they give the best hugs. Sandy was inspired by some photos she saw on Pinterest and decided to make a few signs to incorporate into some of the photos. Check out my favorite photographs from their family portrait session at the Davidson College campus below.
Of course we had to do an awesome head shot of Sandy for her Facebook profile picture.
Playing around with one of the signs.
Of course we needed our picture together too.

Portraits • Seattle, WA • Foster Island
Below is a photo shoot I did with a photographer friend of mine, Mike Costales recently at Foster Island. 24 people can be a challenge to organize, but it was a ton of fun! All of the people photographed below became friends from performing in flash mobs together and have started doing annual photos as a group. So sweet. I met many of them when I photographed the GLEE flash mob back in April. http://youtu.be/ftt9wCYH4o0
Here are a few of my favorites.

My favorite from this shoot has to be the one below. :)
