Unique Venues!

I love when my wedding couples choose unique and personal venues. It always creates an interesting backdrop for the photographs taken during their day. One of my favorite weddings I have been a part of was Kelsey and Erik 's wedding in Savannah, GA. Kelsey worked at the beautiful Paris Market & Brocante, which closed for the day for her and her bridesmaids to get ready for her wedding.

Erik and his groomsmen got ready in Kelsey's apartment. I don't think it can be any more personal than that. :)

    Their reception was held in a good friend of Kelseys backyard.

The first part of this video has some great suggestions for ways to personalize your venue as well as unique cake ideas and general tips for your day! I love the idea of having a wedding in a museum, library, or garden and a reception in an art gallery. Check the video out from this link below.

Crystal and Stephen got Married!

Congratulations to Crystal and Stephen, two of the nicest clients I have ever worked with! They had their official wedding ceremony this December in Richmond Hill, GA at the Richmond Hill United Methodist Church. Their genuine love for each other is clear. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your special day! Truly.

 Crystal and Stephen love fishing together so Crystal made this fish hook with their wedding date to photograph with their rings! Love it!

 All of the bridesmaids wore boots because Crystal basically lives in them normally. A couple of the bridesmaids even borrowed boots from Crystal for the ceremony.

WPPI Road Trip!

Today I am off the Washington, DC for the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) Road Trip! I will be taking classes from lots of AMAZING photographers such as Jasmine Star, Greg Gibson and Lindsay Adler! Kelsey and Erik got Married! A few of my faves :)

Kelsey and Erik had a beautiful and touching ceremony (I cried for most of it) at the Whitefield Chapel on the campus of the Bethesda Home for Boys on Sunday, August 22, 2010. Then the reception was held in the backyard of a close friend of Kelseys' house. The DIY elements, from the gorgeous flowers, to the hand painted signage and delicious homemade foods made this wedding very personal and special for both the couple and their guests. I feel very privileged to have been a part of such a warm and loving bonding of two wonderful people.

Some of my favorites from the Castano wedding!

Alex and Amelia Castano's wedding was exceptionally full of love and warmth. The romance between Amelia and Alex was clearly spread amongst the guests as well. Their ceremony was held at the Davidson College Presbyterian Church and their reception was on the Davidson College campus at the Lily Gallery. Alex surprised Amelia with a honeymoon in Tahiti! No one (including Amelia) knew where they were going until the rehearsal dinner. Best wishes on your lifelong journey together!
