Katie and Adam Tied the Knot!

Katie and Adam had a very intimate ceremony at the beautiful Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, NC. This is part one of their wedding celebration. In July, they will be having a huge outdoor party to celebrate with all of their family and friends. How fun! Here are a few of my favorites from their day.

I love the pop of red in the background from the berries in the tree. So colorful for winter.

Katie's mom told the florist to create a bouquet that "she would make for her own daughter if she was getting married". What a flawless result. Just beautiful and so classy!
Aren't Katie and her mom stunning? Of course Adam looks quite dapper as well.
Playing around, so cute!

Katie is a talented photographer and friend. So honored to be a part of her wedding day!

We ended the evening on a rock in the backyard of their house where many of their special memories were created. What a nice opportunity is was to have wedding photographs taken at a place so meaningful to them during the time they were getting to know each other.

Gorgeous Shoe Clips and Lapel Pins on Etsy

Glamour and Grace wedding blog, a great resource for unique wedding ideas, did a neat post on ridiculously adorable flower shoe clips to make your wedding heels extra special (or even your daily shoes!). Here is a link to their post Etsy Find- Linden Lovebirds. The lapel pins that Linden Loverbirds offer are also fabulous.

Speaking of Unique Venues

I just spent this past week in Raleigh, NC, which turned into a "scouting locations" trip of  places I would like to photograph. The North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA) is a really neat place for a wedding or engagement session! Here are a couple of photos I captured with my iPhone of some neat sculpture in the NCMA Park. It would be even more beautiful on a sunnier day.

Unique Venues!

I love when my wedding couples choose unique and personal venues. It always creates an interesting backdrop for the photographs taken during their day. One of my favorite weddings I have been a part of was Kelsey and Erik 's wedding in Savannah, GA. Kelsey worked at the beautiful Paris Market & Brocante, which closed for the day for her and her bridesmaids to get ready for her wedding.
Erik and his groomsmen got ready in Kelsey's apartment. I don't think it can be any more personal than that. :)
Their reception was held in a good friend of Kelseys backyard.

The first part of this video has some great suggestions for ways to personalize your venue as well as unique cake ideas and general tips for your day! I love the idea of having a wedding in a museum, library, or garden and a reception in an art gallery. Check the video out from this link below.

Ashley and Jon Tied the Knot in Savannah, GA!

Ashley and Jon really enjoyed the true Savannah experience for their special day. They got married in Savannah's first square Johnson Square. After an intimate ceremony we all hopped on an Old Savannah Trolley and headed to Savannah's largest park and popular tourist spot, Forsyth Park to take some photos.  Forsyth Park is of course home for the Forsyth Park Fountain which is one of Savannah's top tourist attractions. The lighting was just beautiful as the sun was beginning to set over the park.

This is my favorite photograph from their day. I think Ashley looks particularly stunning!

Jon surprised Ashley with a horse drawn carriage to bring Ashley to the ceremony with her father.

It was freezing outside so a very nice police officer let Ashley borrow her jacket after the ceremony. This is Ashley's "pose" as she puts it. :)
