Route 66 • Seligman, AZ

For a change of scenery, we stopped off in Seligman, AZ, the birthplace of Route 66In 1987, the State of Arizona dedicated old U.S. Route 66 from Seligman to Kingman as Historic Route 66, due to the efforts of the Seligman Chamber of Commerce. The dedication will assure the preservation of the longest remaining stretch of old Route 66 left in the United States. What a fun little throw back of a town.
"Sorry, We're Open"

"Feed & Stuff"...my favorite.

Shortly after our arrival, this biker gang also showed up.

Until this road trip, I didn't realize how many states Route 66 really runs through! We are driving through 5 of the 8.

South Rim • Grand Canyon • Arizona

From East to West Coast, A Photographer's Road Trip
On the drive to the Grand Canyon we stopped off at the Colorado River Gorge on a Navajo Reserve.

Self Portrait

Then we made it to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon! There is nothing like seeing the Canyon in person, it really is quite grand.

Thanks mom for this shot of me. :)

This was taken in Yaki Point, which was my favorite part of the South Rim.
