The Penrose B&B • Sedona, AZ • Absolutely Delightful

I just had the most wonderful stay at The Penrose B&B. The Innkeeper's Christie and Whitney truly payed attention to details, providing a well stocked guest refrigerator, homemade dessert bars left out in the evening, keepsake photographs for the all the guests, and complimentary laundry service. Christie prepared some of the most fabulous breakfasts. Whitney was very knowledgeable about the area and gave excellent suggestions on how to plan our day. The whole place was very quiet which made for an incredibly relaxing environment to enjoy the amazing views.

Breathtaking view from our breakfast table of Bell Rock
View from the balcony off our room, the Javelina

So mom and I look a bit related... it was also quite windy.
Praline French Toast with fresh strawberries and Rosemary Sausage, YUM!

Garland's Oak Creek Lodge • Sedona, AZ • A Photographer's Road Trip

Garland's Oak Creek Lodge is nestled off the beaten path in Sedona, AZ. To get there we crossed the creek below which flowed over the road and wound up in the middle of the woods surrounded by red rocks. Just beautiful. The best part of the evening was our incredibly fresh dinner. The menu consisted of Olive Focaccia, Squash and Corn Chowder, Mixed Green Salad, Roasted Chicken with Orizo Pilaf, Braised Garden Greens and Dark Chocolate Panna Cotta. Each night they serve a different dish and if like us, you are not staying at the Lodge, you can make a reservation to join them just for dinner.
