Gordon Au • Portrait Session • Master of the Trumpet
Gordon Au is an incredibly talented trumpet player based out of Brooklyn, NY. He hired me to photograph some promo shots of him this year at Lindy Focus XII. Check him out on his website! http://www.gordonaumusic.com/html/about.php I highly recommend going out to hear him play if he is in your city as he travels all over for gigs!

Portrait • Arabica Lounge • Seattle, WA
A friend of mine had her Flora & Fauna themed birthday party at (my favorite coffee shop and brunch spot) Arabica Lounge. Here is a shot I took with my iPhone at the "photo booth" set up. Sasha looks gorgeous! Isn't that yummy window lighting just radiant?

Head shots • Breanna • Nashville, TN
Breanna is an incredibly talented dancer and event organizer as well as a lovely person. I was so flattered when she asked me to photograph her head shots! During Cumberland Shuffle she was organizing and I was photographing the event, yet we still made time to make these images happen. Check out Breanna's website here! http://www.breannaperry.com/

Family Portrait Session • The LaCortes • Davidson, NC
I have known Sandy since preschool and we both grew up in the town of Davidson, NC. She introduced me to my very first wedding clients, and I honestly don't think I would be where I am today without her. Thank you Sandy! She has been wanting me to photograph her family for years, and finally we were all in the same place at the same time and made it happen! The LaCortes are such a kind and genuine family and they give the best hugs. Sandy was inspired by some photos she saw on Pinterest and decided to make a few signs to incorporate into some of the photos. Check out my favorite photographs from their family portrait session at the Davidson College campus below.
Of course we had to do an awesome head shot of Sandy for her Facebook profile picture.
Playing around with one of the signs.
Of course we needed our picture together too.

Portraits and Head Shots • Jesse Kimmel (Red Jesse) • Charlotte, NC
Below are some portraits of the songwriter and performer Jesse Kimmel aka Red Jesse of the awesome hip-hop duo Dead Sea $crilla. I have known Jesse since pre-school, so it was especially fun for me to photograph him now. We went on a little adventure around NoDa Charlotte's Historic Arts District, for the photo shoot.

For fun, here is a picture of the two of us when we were little.
Cuteness overload... I know.
