Family Portrait Session • Lord Family • Charlotte, NC
When I was back in NC photographing Eleanor and Sean's wedding, I also had the opportunity to photograph a very sweet family. Brenda and Heather (mother/daughter) opened one of my all time favorite cupcake shops in Cornelius, NC, SweetCakes Bakery a few years ago and I had the honor of doing the photography for their website as well when they opened. If you are ever in Cornelius, you must try their cupcakes! Seriously. Brenda used some of the photos from their family portrait session for their Christmas cards this year. Check out some of my favorites of the extended family below. Cutest kids award.

Family Portrait Session • The LaCortes • Davidson, NC
I have known Sandy since preschool and we both grew up in the town of Davidson, NC. She introduced me to my very first wedding clients, and I honestly don't think I would be where I am today without her. Thank you Sandy! She has been wanting me to photograph her family for years, and finally we were all in the same place at the same time and made it happen! The LaCortes are such a kind and genuine family and they give the best hugs. Sandy was inspired by some photos she saw on Pinterest and decided to make a few signs to incorporate into some of the photos. Check out my favorite photographs from their family portrait session at the Davidson College campus below.
Of course we had to do an awesome head shot of Sandy for her Facebook profile picture.
Playing around with one of the signs.
Of course we needed our picture together too.

Family & Childrens Portraits • Kubota Garden • Seattle, WA
The Kubota Garden are beautiful and full of neat textures and shades of green even though it is winter and dreary in Seattle, WA. The day we photographed the family portraits, little Milla was sick but a real trooper. When we went back to the Garden to photograph Milla after she felt better she was just a little bundle of joy and giggles. Terribly cute. Check out a few of my favorites from their portrait sessions below.
